One of the main problems of our Omma is the GHAFLA (heedlessness, inadvertency, confusing priorities, blindness of conscious etc...). Being able to correctly prioritise you tasks is definitely one of the keys of success.
Everyone one of us needs always remember the reason behind his existence, his mission in this life and the true objective. Accordingly, all his daily actions, including working, earning money, seeking education, looking after the family, eating, drinking, playing with the children, sports, praying, worshipping, etc…, should be aligned with this objective.
This Khutba talks about the GHAFLA, its definition, types of GHAFLA, reasons behind GHFLA, and how to treat this disease.
The reason I named this series of Khutbas, "The Wake-Up Call", is that I was in a business trip overseas, and I fell asleep after Fajr salat, and almost missed my first business appointment. Next day, I asked the hotel switch operator to give me a "wake-up" call so that I do not miss my "important appointments". So I thought, how about our important appojntments with ALLAH (swt), how about our high priority daily activities? We need a "Wake-Up" call I think.
